Ranch of Cherry Creek raises and shows Arabians, Half-Arabians and Quarter horses in Reining, Working Cow and Cutting. Ranch of Cherry Creek has recently undergone some major changes. Steve Grove has added a second ranch in Wessington Springs, South Dakota in addition to the already established one in Centennial, Co. Don and Kamber Ulmer have moved to the new facility in Wessington Springs, where Don is the head trainer.

Don Ulmer has been showing for over 30 years. He has won over 15 National Championships, sixteen Reserve National Championships and fifty plus Top Tens. He is also an international clinician.

Kamber, Don's wife, has been involved with Arabian horses since the age of ten. She has shown in cutting, reining, working cow, English, hunter pleasure and hunter jumpers.

Elise , their daughter, has been riding since before she could walk. She has shown in reining, working cow, hunter, English and western pleasure. In 2003, she won Youth National Champion in Freestyle Reining riding Gontyka, along with 4 Top Tens. In 2005, she won Canadian Reserve National Champion Open Reining riding Gontyka and Top 10 Open Reining riding Cashmere MA. 2006, was also a great year for Elise. She won Reserve National Champion Half Arab Reining Futurity riding Play in Color, Top 10 Reining Futurity, USEF Young Rider Qualifier and won money in the NRCHA.
