Making clocks larger or smaller
WinZones 95/98/NT
Position the cursor anywhere on the edges
or corners of the clock. Click and drag to reduce or enlarge the size, or change the
dimentions (i.e. make it wider or taller). Note: Depending on the length of the city name
and the type of font you are using, WinZones may abbreviate the city name to make it fit
in the available space.
WinZones for Windows 3.1
Double-click on the face of any clock, and
the help bar appears at the top of the clock. Position the cursor anywhere on the edges or
corners of the clock. Click and drag to reduce or enlarge the size, or change the
dimentions (i.e. make it wider or taller). Double-click again to hide the help bar. Note:
Depending on the length of the city name and the type of font you are using, WinZones may
abbreviate the city name to make it fit in the available space.
Changing colors
and fonts
Choosing contrasting foreground and
background colors can make small clocks more legible, as well as help you distinguish
between them when running more than one at a time. To select a new font and/or select new
foreground and background colors, click on the Set button in the lower left hand corner of
any clock, click on "Configure this clock", then click on the color and font
settings in the lower right of the dialog box. Some of our favorite easy-to-read fonts for
small clocks are Britannic Bold, Wide Latin, Impact and Futura.
