Greetings from Shady Oaks Farm, Lodi, California

To: Competitors, Volunteers, Supporters of Shady Oaks CDE and other driving events:

Over the past eight (8) years we have been privileged to have our daughter, Bonner Murphy, organize many successful and joyous events.  All of us here at Shady Oaks thank her for her many years of service and dedication to our sport.

Now, with all of the pressures of her very active family, she has made the decision that organizing our events is more than she can do successfully (which is the only way she operates) without distracting from her family obligations. 

We are so pleased that Ellen Ettinger has agreed to step into the role as Organizer.  We have worked with Ellen many times on the East Coast and many of you had the chance to work with her here at Shady Oaks events, including our last CDE.  We look forward to this new chapter in life here at Shady Oaks Driving.  Of course, our wonderful staff will be here to provide the structure for many other successful events.

The CDE is scheduled to be held from September 16-19, 2010.  What to do this spring is still under discussion.  We would appreciate input from any of you who are interested in supporting the events here at Shady Oaks, either as competitors, volunteers or in any other capacity.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful year in 2010!
