Ancient Eastern Bodywork . . . with a European Touch

Horses are wondrous creatures.  They have served as champions and companions to mankind since the dawn of civilization. They have been revered for their beauty, speed, bravery, and vigor.   No wonder the ancient Celts dedicated a Goddess, Epona, to their protection and worshipped her as the embodiment of the mystical spirit of the horse.

As a human, I feel indebted to horses past and present.  We all are who we are thanks to the horse.  Without the horse, world history would be another and this world would be another.  Whole cultures have been built around their dependency on horses.  Aside from their pivotal roles in our agriculture, our wars, our transportation and our industry, they have embellished our ceremonies with pomp and circumstance; they have provided us with sport, competition, friendship and plain old fun.   Too often they are, and have not been respected, recognized or thanked.

Through my work in applying and teaching others equine acupressure and shiatsu massage, I try to do my little bit in acknowledging the gift and sacrifice of horses to humans by helping them be healthy, happy and pain free.  It’s my small way of saying “thank you!”

UPDATE: I have recently moved from Sonoma County to Nevada County in the Sierra foothills. Although it is sad for me to be farther away from my Bay Area clients, I am not that far and I certainly do not want to lose touch. I am available for trips to the Bay Area as long as I can work on several horses per visit so please do not hesitate to contact me.
