Horse & Rider Achievements

Here are a few young horses started by Valerie Bertoli that went on to great things:

  • MASTERS CHOICE, Owner Valerie Bertoli, rider India McEvoy. They together are enjoying their time on the east coast, competing and working with Philippe Dutton. They are very successful at the advance level ,and were recently 3rd at MCTA advance horse trial.
  • Diablo, owner Willow McEvoy, rider Willow McEvoy. They started at preliminary level this year ,they have been clean and place at each of their shows, it is very fun to see them growing up.
  • Momo, owner Sarah Brickey, rider Sarah Brickey and Valerie Bertoli, after a very successful beginning of the season at training level, placed at every show. Momo is going to participate at his first prelim in Woodside with Valerie. Sarah will then start at the prelim level as well this summer.
  • Hummer, owner Kirsten Strain, rider Valerie Bertoli, he participated at his first show at Twin River in the young horse division and score a 87.55 ,he scored a 9 on gaits and his jumping ability. He sold after his first show ,and is starting his real career .
  • Diva, owner and rider Kirsten Strain, they will show for the first time in Woodside  at Novice level . Diva is showing great potential .
  • Lord Stripes ,owner and rider Julia Bertoli, Lord Stripes is learning to jump and Julia is hoping to be able to show him very soon .they both get along well .
  • Seamus ,started as a 3 years old with her rider INDIA MC EVOY.  Advance horse of the year 2004. Now retired.
  • Playboy ,started at 4 years old with her rider WILLOW MC EVOY. CCI* Rebecca Farm, now ridden by a small child.
  • Le Grand Prix ,started as an unbroken horse with INDIA MC EVOY. Went prelim, now ridden by andadult amateur dressage rider.
  • Baujolais Nouveau, started unbroken with her rider KRISTEN ENEDY , numerous places in CCI*, Intermediare , Prelim champion ,and still going up the levels.
  • Masters Choice, started as 5 years old off the track, trained and competed Advance level with VALERIE BERTOLI, still going up the levels with INDIA MC EVOY , now back east with Bruce Davidson.
  • Ohlala, raised at the farm, trained and competed with VALERIE BERTOLI to Intermediate level, now ridden by her new owner, a young rider MOLLY GASIEWICH in Colorado and still going.
  • Crocodile ,started unbroken with KIRSTEN STRAIN, starting in Prelim with KRISTEN ENEDY and would be a great equitation horse.
  • OC, started as a 4 year old off the track with her rider KACIE GANSEL and competed successfully at Preliminary level and is now retired.
  • St. Emilion, started as a 5 year old with his owner ERIC DI BENEDETTO and competed very successfully to Intermediate level with VALERIE BERTOLI. He is now ridden by his owner adult amateur who enjoys him very much.
  • D'Artagnon, started at a 6 years old, trained and competed by VALERIE BERTOLI for his owner FRANCES GAUL. He is now doing level 5 in jumper circuit an still going.
  • Echo, started at 6 years old , was a retired polo horse trained and competed up to intermediate level with VALERIE BERTOLI and his owner MICAYELY MC CASKELL, still going on 3 day event circuit and jumper as well.
  • Negev Spirit, trained and competed Intermediate with VALERIE BERTOLI and his
    owner EMMA SHOW CRANE. He is unfortunately in a pasture waiting for a new rider .
  • Furial, started as a 8 years old horse with no experience. He competed up to Preliminary level with EMMA SHAW CRANE, he is now retired.
  • Le Samourai started as an unbroken horse, went CCI**** , listed for the Olympics, with ROBIN FISHER and AMY TRYON.
  • Kina, started as a 4 years old, is now in hunter jumper circuit.
  • Rouge Et Noir, started at 5 years old off the track, went to training level wit HEIDI
    YOUNG , to Advance level with SHIRLEY ARRONSON and his last owner KRISTEN ENEDY, was also very successful at the International level with his young rider KRISTEN ENEDY. He is now retired.
  • Peanut , started unbroken, trained and competed as a young horse level and sold to an adult amateur and competed at training level.

Up and Coming New Horses:

  • Heat Of Summer, off the track, 4 years old, starting his career.
  • Mozart, off the track, 5 years old, starting his career, going Training.
  • Diablo, 5 years old, off the track, went Training, ready for Prelim in 2009.
  • Sonic , 5 years old, off the track, starting Novice.
  • Hummer, 4 years old Holsteiner, going to start in a young horse division in 3 day eventing and will be exposed to all kind of new things.
  • Lizzie, 4 years old, off the track, is going to start at the young horses division 3 day eventing and is for sale.
  • Diva, 4 years old Holsteiner, going to start in the young horses division and be exposed to all kinds of new things.
